On Thursday, 29th of December 2022, Lagos Food Bank Initiative in partnership with Tek Experts will be reaching out to the 2022 flood victims within Papa-Asafa community through the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) with food relief and personal care items which will sustain them for 2-4 weeks.

COMMUNITY IN FOCUS
Papa Asafa is a community on Lagos Mainland, situated nearby Agege, and close to Dopemu. It is a community largely populated by indigent families and very low income earners.
Papa Asafa is currently facing the challenge of basic social amenities that will sustain and improve the standard of living of residents. With its history of flash flooding, stagnant water, and almost inaccessible roads, many residents are faced with not only vulnerable conditions but also hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity.
GOAL:
To bring relief and meet the nutritional needs of the flood victims to aid their recovery process ans extend our solidarity to them.
OBJECTIVES:
– To provide beneficiaries with dietary counseling, nutrition education and general healthy living tips.
– To provide personal care items for women and children to help improve the standard of living and support better nutrition.
– To provide food assistance to keep the inhabitants with low economic power from being hungry
