It was a bright and eventful day on Wednesday 19th, October 2022 as Crown Flour Mill Limited commemorated the 2022 World Food Day in partnership with Lagos Food Bank Initiative as they delivered hope and food relief to the resilient women of Iyana Ipaja community through our Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Crown Flour Mill Limited is an organization that caters to the needs and yearning of the consumers for more nutritious and affordable options through wheat milling. With plants located in strategic positions across Nigeria, Crown Flour Mill Limited is one of the top 10 millers in the world.

The Crown Flour Mill Limited team members received a warm welcome upon arrival at about 10:15am, which was followed by a tour of the foodbank warehouse before the start of the outreach activities.

The vulnerable women of Iyana Ipaja community trooped into the food bank premises as they anticipated the distribution of boxes of hope. The distribution of the boxes of hope started at around 12:45pm as the women kept dancing and singing the praises of the organizations. Mrs. Felicia Omotayo, one of the beneficiaries couldn’t contain her joy as she expressed her appreciation to the organization for the packages she received which will serve as a relief for the next 2 – 4 weeks.

Mrs. Uwamaka, one of the staff of Crown Flour Mill Limited expressed her joy as she was able to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable people in the society. The beneficiaries were grateful and prayed for the upliftment of the organizations.
