On the 3rd of November, 2026, the President/Founder of the Princess Thyroid Awareness Initiative, Dr. Princess Akawor Dolor, marked her birthday by partnering with Lagos Food Bank Initiative to support vulnerable women and families from underserved communities with essential food supplies through the Temporary Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
Taking place at the Food Bank warehouse in Ikeja, the impactful day began with Dr. Princess, accompanied by a team from the Princess Thyroid Awareness Initiative, arriving with enthusiasm as she was warmly welcomed by the beneficiaries of the distribution and food bank volunteers, who serenaded her with birthday songs.

The celebrant and partner of the day expressed her delight at the collaboration with Lagos Food Bank, and the opportunity to give back to society on her birthday. She also advocated for more support from individuals and corporations for the Food Bank’s mission to end hunger and malnutrition affecting vulnerable families in underserved communities.
This timely outreach also witnessed true generosity as the beneficiaries went home with a token to cover transportation costs, after receiving their food boxes. Dr. Princess also showed solidarity with volunteerism by appreciating the Food Bank volunteers present at the outreach, giving them a substantial amount of money.

Beneficiaries of the distribution appreciated her and prayed for her wholeheartedly for marking her personal milestone by putting smiles on the faces and filling the plates in their respective homes.
This outreach is a powerful example of how a personal celebration can impact lives through community-centered interventions, and Ambassador Dr. Princess Akawor Dolor was at the center of this remarkable collaboration. Indeed, communities rise when collective action is taken towards a common goal.
