On Friday, September 18, 2026, the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) welcomed Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, for a special Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) outreach at the Food Bank’s warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja.

The outreach provided nutritious food boxes to resilient women and families from underserved communities facing food insecurity. Beyond the food distribution, Pastor Jimmy spent time engaging with the beneficiaries and volunteers, making his presence an active part of the day’s intervention.

Dr. Michael Sunbola, Executive Director of the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI), delivered remarks appreciating Pastor Jimmy for choosing to support families through TEFAP. He highlighted the importance of partnerships that translate generosity into practical support for households experiencing food insecurity and reaffirmed LFBI’s commitment to addressing hunger through targeted interventions.

Pastor Jimmy also addressed the gathering, appreciating the volunteers for their dedication and selfless service while commending LFBI for its consistent work in supporting communities in need. He prayed for the volunteers and staff and for the continued success of the Food Bank’s mission.

He further extended his support by gifting the beneficiaries cash, adding direct financial assistance to the food support they received. The gesture provided beneficiaries with additional resources to meet immediate household needs.

The combination of food boxes, cash gifts, prayers and personal interaction made the outreach a meaningful experience for the families present. It was a practical demonstration of support, with beneficiaries leaving not only with food supplies but with additional assistance and encouragement.
